1. Complete the political map of the EU by making a legend in colour which identify the year of entry and exit of each member country (you must use the same colour for the same year). Write the name of each country and the symbol “€” for the country whose official currency is the euro. You can use this map
   

2. Draw a timeline in which you write down the most important events of the history of the EU. You can visit the official EU website. You have to write the specific date and briefly explain the events.

1. To do this task, your teacher will give you an EU country and you will have to look for information about it as the following example is shown:

You can present it as you want but it must be very visual to complete, between all of us, the map of the European Union. It must contain:

• A drawing of the country

• Area of the country in km²

• Borders of the country

• Numbers of inhabitants

• Capital city

• Currency

• Official language

• Political system

• Year in which it became a member of the EU

• Secular, confessional o theocratic state

 

Finally, you have to explain it to your colleagues

1. Completa el mapa político de la Unión Europea realizando una leyenda por colores que identifique el año de entrada de cada uno de los países miembros y la salida de éstos. (Se usa el mismo color para todos los países que compartan año). Señala el nombre del país y con el símbolo “€” los que tienen el euro como moneda oficial.

2. Realiza una línea del tiempo donde resuma los acontecimientos más importantes de la historia de la construcción de esta nueva Europa. Puedes, para ello, acceder al portal de la UE. Debes poner la fecha concreta y explicar el acontecimiento brevemente.

La forma de presentarlo es libre, pero debe ser visual, para completar entre todos el mural de los miembros de la UE. Debe aparecer:

• Kilómetros cuadrados que ocupa

• Fronteras del país

• Número de habitantes

• Capital

• Moneda

• Lengua oficial

• Sistema político

• Desde cuándo es miembro de la UE

• Estado laico, confesional o teocrático

Finalmente, tendrás que explicárselo a tus compañeros.
